Naturopathic Medicine

Gudrun M. Welder is a licensed Naturopathic Doctor with 20 years of experience in Natural and complementary Health Care. She is an unassuming practitioner who methodically takes into consideration every aspect of an individual before suggesting treatment. She is committed to guiding peoples systems back into balance. She finds great joy in working with anyone who is up for considering new avenues toward health. Her favorite modalities are Nutrition, acupuncture/body work, botanical medicine and homeopathy. Gudrun is fueled by what makes each of us unique and treats accordingly.

Back ground on Gudrun : Gudrun grew up in a small mountain town in Montana and was fascinated with plants and trees from the time she was born. As a teen she studied survival courses and sought out information on how the indigenous people in Montana and the world have lived closer to nature. As a young adult she moved to Santa Fe, New Mexico where she worked for several local herbalists growing herbs and food, making tinctures, natural cosmetics and therapeutic odds and ends. In 2001 She started her formal education in Santa Fe, where she received her Registered Polarity Practitioner designation from the New Mexico Academy of Healing Arts. While living in Santa Fe Gudrun traveled a lot and sought out people who were involved in traditional food practices and healing throughout the world. She soaked up all she could in Nepal, India, Japan, Mexico, Ireland and other countries. In her thirties Gudrun decided she would like a formal education that married both conventional and traditional healing. In 2010 she moved to Toronto to study Naturopathic Medicine at the Canadian College of Nauturopathic Medicine.

Today she takes a very practical approach when addressing her patient’s needs. Grounded in current diagnostics, blood work and physicians reports, she helps her patients to discover the cause of their heath conditions. Gudrun prides herself in helping patients to find compatible, safe, effective and natural ways towards recovery.

Acupuncture

I am a fully registered member of the The College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of Ontario (CTCMPAO). My fascination with Chinese medicine began in my teenage years and has evolved into a lifelong passion. This holistic approach has transformed my life, fostering a deeper understanding of health and wellbeing. Pursuing my dedication, I studied Acupuncture at Georgian College and furthered my education at Eight Branches College of Eastern Medicine in Toronto, ON, graduating from the Traditional Chinese Medicine program.

For over 3,000 years, Chinese medicine has been a cornerstone of East Asian healthcare, and its popularity continues to grow globally. This ancient practice has a proven track record of treating various illnesses, including historical pandemics, and remains a valuable alternative medicine today. Chinese medicine excels in addressing pain management, digestive health, mental wellbeing, women’s health, and infectious diseases, among other conditions.

I am thrilled to bring my expertise to the Innisfil community and surrounding areas, serving Simcoe County with compassion and expertise. This region has been incredibly supportive, and I am grateful for the opportunity to give back. I look forward to continuing my journey, learning, and growing in the world of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and I am excited to be a part of your health and wellness journey.
