Dr Palmer is Family Medicine Physician who completed her specialty at the University of Toronto. While at the University of Toronto she spent a year atMicheal Garron Hospital (formerly know as Toronto East General Hospital) and another year at the Port Perry Hospital, doctors office, Urgent Care, Clinics and Long Term Care.
Prior to her training in Canada; Dr Palmer completed her medical School at the University of the West Indies, Mona Jamaica W.I and recieved her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degree. Dr Palmer worked in Jamaica for 5 year as a Family Physician in Emergency, Primary Care and Hospitalist.
She also holds a certificate in Global Health and a Master’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety. She is also a certified Infection Prevention and Control Practitioner.
Dr Palmer believes in patient advocacy and that primary care physicians are gatekeepers for community health and a wider scale population health.
